Mel Gibson Movies - Some of the Best Movies of All Time
A great run that all started with Mad Max
I think most Mel Gibson movies are great gifts for men. His films are typically about subjects that are interesting to guys, like war, crime, violence, and acting like a lunatic. Some of his movies, like Braveheart, even make our list of best movies of all time.
We're not just talking about Mel Gibson movies that star Mel, either. Remember, he also produced and directed some great movies, too. Take Apocalypto, for example. When I watched that movie, I was engrossed the whole time. If you've never seen it, please make a point to see it this year.
He also produced and directed The Passion of the Christ, which was a very moving film. Even the manliest "never let 'em see you cry" kinds of men can't help feeling something from watching that movie. It's pretty incredible.
Mel is great at acting deranged and mentally unstable. He did this in the movie that made him famous, Mad Max. He is probably most well known for his role as the volatile and unstable Martin Riggs in the Lethal Weapon series of movies.
He also seems to enjoy playing roles where he is physically or mentally tortured. He endures physical torture in Braveheart, the Lethal Weapon series of movies, Payback and Conspiracy Theory among others. He is in emotional pain in Hamlet, Signs, and The Patriot, Edge of Darkness and Ransom. He's really believable in these roles and I think most people feel empathy with his characters.
I hope you enjoy this list of movies I have put together. You may also be interested in our page of Arnold Schwarzenegger movies.
